About Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation

Since 1988, the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation has worked with the community to raise funds to support Delta Hospital. We are the public face and philanthropic arm of Delta Hospital, raising the financial resources necessary to provide quality and innovative health care services, purchase much-needed state-of-the-art equipment, fund capital projects and building improvements, and support ongoing education of medical staff that government funding alone cannot provide. 
The Foundation strives to ensure our community has close to home access to the highest quality health care services. We are dedicated to meeting the challenges of limited health care budgets and increasing demand for services in the Delta region. 
Since its creation and through generous support, over $43 million has been raised towards updating medical equipment and facilities at Delta Hospital. 

The Foundation is a Canadian Registered Non-profit Charity No. 12984-4114 RR001.


Please Note:

Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation recently expanded its charitable purposes. The initial reasoning behind is to allow us to assist in the fundraising of a potential new Residential Care building at Delta Hospital. 

We are currently a year or two away from potentially funding any FHA community program needs that exist outside the hospital as our funding is currently committed to hospital priorities including the Residential Care needs. 



Our Board of Directors

The Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the many faces of the community. It consists of a Chair, Past-chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer, and 8 to 10 members of the community, from accountants and lawyers to business owners and managers. The board is serious about upholding the mission and mandate of the Foundation. Meetings are held bi-monthly and the board members assist and support staff activities and special events. The Annual General Meeting is held in September and executive positions are generally held for two years.

Our Staff

The Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation has five full-time dedicated and passionate staff: Annual Giving Manager, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Special Events Manager all reporting through to the Executive Director. Part-time staff includes our Major Giving Manager, Foundation Assistant, Financial Administrator and a summer student intern.

Our Volunteers

The Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation relies greatly on many caring volunteers from the community. Along with volunteers helping out with general office duties, over 200 volunteers contribute many hours of their time to help make sure our special events run smoothly. Over 30 volunteers sit on our special event committees.
