  • Lisa Hoglund, Executive Director
    Lisa Hoglund is the Executive Director at Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation and a life-long resident of the Delta community. With over 15 years experience working in the non-for-profit sector, Lisa’s leadership in community engagement and development has enabled the Foundation to achieve significant milestones. Previously, Lisa worked in fundraising positions at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC where she gained extensive experience in strategic planning, marketing & event management, and donor relations. Her dedication and passion for promoting outstanding healthcare at Delta Hospital and in the community, continues to strengthen donor relations and drive the Foundation forward to ensure the most critical health care priorities are being met.
  • Jodi Stokes, Major Giving Manager
    Jodi recently joined the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation as the Major Giving Manager. Jodi has an extensive background in client service, community programming, finance and business administration. A BCIT Business Management graduate, specializing in Corporate Finance, Jodi started her career working in the Financial Sector as a licensed IAA and Client Relationship Manager with CIBC Wood Gundy. Driven by a strong belief in health improvement, Jodi moved to the public sector in 2008 developing Community Health and Wellness Programs for the Richmond Olympic Oval and the City of Richmond. Jodi is a Tsawwassen resident, where her daughter attends elementary school. She is thrilled to assume a role that supports health care in the community where she resides and is proud to call home. Jodi has been involved with the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation as a donor and supporter, now as the Major Giving Manager, Jodi is inspired to grow and deepen donor relationships with those who share her passion for healthcare in our community.
  • Sharla De Groote, Special Events Manager
    Sharla has been Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s Special Events Manager for over three years managing our signature events and producing record breaking fundraisers to support Delta Hospital. Sharla has over 18 years experience in marketing, public relations and event management. Sharla began her career working in the software industry then through volunteering with the MS Society was drawn to the non-profit field. She worked with the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation for nine years on the Donor Relations & Events Team helping fundraise through production of donor recognition, cultivation, media and fundraising events. As Associate Director of Donor Relations & Events, she focused on improving outcomes for the Foundation's signature fundraisers: Night of a Thousand Stars Gala and the Mr. Lube Tournament for Life golf tournament. Under her guidance the golf tournament net revenue increased by 138% and the gala grew from an event that net $180,000 to one that raised $2 million in 2013. Prior to arriving in Delta Sharla was a consultant for Richmond Hospital Foundation where she was brought on to help plan their annual golf tournament, the result was a record breaking fundraising event. Born and raised in a small town on Vancouver Island Sharla is happy to be back working with and within a tight knit community. As Manager of Special Events at Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation Sharla has used her experience to increase awareness and funds raised in support of our community hospital.
  • Shari Barr, Annual Giving Manager
    Shari has spent most of her life living in Delta, growing up in North Delta and moving to Ladner a few years ago where her two children attend high school.

    Shari has a long history of working in the field of recruitment and human resources. Prior to joining the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation team in 2012 as our Donor Relations Coordinator, she worked for nine years at Fraser Health in a human resources role. This involved coordinating recruitment across the entire Fraser Health catchment area, including for Delta Hospital. In her role at DHCHF, she is able to use her local knowledge and her vast experience with database management to link with our donors and ensure our hospital is well supported.

    Shari loves the interconnectedness of our community and being able to interact in different capacities, both as a member of Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation and as a local resident. Shari is inspired by the many wonderful donors that she gets to interact with daily, and who share her passion for both the hospital and the local community.
  • Ashli Owen, Communications Specialist
    Ashli recently joined the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation as the Communications Specialist. She has a degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University and over 10 years experience in communications and marketing. Prior to working at the Foundation, Ashli worked at BC & Alberta Guide Dogs as their Communications and Marketing Manager. Previously, Ashli worked as a Communications Specialist for publicly traded companies Nevada Geothermal Power and Mundoro Capital specializing in marketing, communications and investor relations. Ashli grew up in Ladner and returned to raise her two young kids. She is proud to be working at the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation and supporting Delta Hospital and the community she grew up in.
  • Cathy Trafford, Financial Administrator
    Cathy has lived in Delta for most of her life, growing up in Tsawwassen and later moving to Ladner to raise her family. Over this time, she has witnessed much change and growth in the community. Cathy has many years of accounting experience, starting with her first ever job at George Hodgins Realty Ltd. She joined the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation in October 2011, and is proud to work in the community of Delta, helping to support and raise funds for our hospital.
  • Lyndsey Busch, Foundation Assistant
    Lyndsey grew up in North Delta and still resides there with her husband and two young kids. She worked for Central City Brewing Company for over 14 years as an Events and Catering Manager and she joined the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation team in 2019. She started as the Events Coordinator and has now taken on the permanent position of Foundation Assistant.
