Ladner Zephyrs Raise over $4,250 in Support of Priority Needs at Delta Hospital

Local hockey team, the Ladner Zephyrs, held their 5th Annual Christmas Charity Classic, on December 30th, and raised over $4,250.00 breaking the previous year’s fundraising record of $3,000. Since this event began 5 years ago, this community-minded group of young men have raised a total of $13,000 for Delta Hospital.

“Christmas is a time of giving, and a time to give back to this community we love,” say Zephyr fundraising organizer Chad Taylor. The Ladner Zephyrs team members have committed to making this annual event an end-of-year highlight for this community. This year, a Fundraiser After-Party at The Landing Pub & Grill added to the evening’s charitable proceeds. “It’s great to see their hard work pay off,” says Shari Barr, Annual Giving Manager. “They have made this a wonderful annual event that makes such a difference for community members who depend on critical health care services close to home.”

Throughout the year, Delta community members hold events to help raise funds for Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. “While these events vary, they all have a common thread; they take place because the organizers value the vital role Delta Hospital plays in the community. They feel compelled to do their part to assist the increasing demands that Delta is experiencing with a changing population” says Lisa Hoglund, Executive Director, Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation.

From barbecues to golf tournaments, concerts to lemonade stands; there are many ways to raise funds for Delta Hospital.
