Our Stories

At Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation, volunteers contribute significantly in the Foundation office and at key events such as the Moonlight Gala, Delta Health Classic, Power of Women in Philanthropy, and various community fundraisers. These dedicated individuals offer their time and skills across various programs and events, positively impacting the hospital’s operations and community health.  

Some opportunities include logistics, event registration, raffle and 50/50 sales, auction supervision, and guest services. These signature events are crucial for raising funds and awareness, ensuring the hospital can access state-of-the-art equipment and technology to enhance patient care. The invaluable time and dedication of our volunteers are essential in supporting the most critical needs at Delta Hospital. 

Our latest volunteer opportunity is for the Delta Health Classic on June 12, 2025 at Tsawwassen Springs. This annual fundraiser tournament will host over 150 golfers for a fantastic day of golf dedicated to raising funds for priority equipment needs. Among these incredible volunteers are Carolyn and Mo, two retirees whose stories reflect the true spirit of giving back. Carolyn began volunteering over five years ago in search of purpose and connection. She found it at the Foundation, where the support of a welcoming and dedicated team has given her a renewed sense of purpose. Mo has been with the Foundation for ten years, motivated by a deep desire to support a good cause. Inspired by the generosity around her, she continues to offer her time with enthusiasm and warmth. For both Carolyn and Mo, the most rewarding part of volunteering is the opportunity to help others, whether it’s by supporting staff, engaging with community members, or offering a friendly presence. Their dedication is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact volunteers have on our organization and those we serve.
