The Delta Agricultural Society has contributed $200,000 to Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s (DHCH Foundation) campaign to transform and expand the Endoscopy Suite at Delta Hospital, helping ensure local residents have access to timely diagnostic care close to home.

Founded in 1888 by a group of visionary Delta farmers, the Delta Agricultural Society has spent nearly 140 years strengthening the community through leadership, stewardship, and philanthropy. Today, that commitment continues through a significant investment in the future of local healthcare.

The Society’s latest gift will support the Jim Pattison Endoscopy Unit, a modernized, state-of-the-art facility coming to the Delta Hospital Campus of Care.  The new facility will expand capacity, improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance access to vital diagnostic procedures that can detect and prevent serious gastrointestinal diseases, including colorectal cancer.

We are grateful to have their support as we work to expand access to vital diagnostic care.”

The Delta Agricultural Society has been a dedicated supporter of Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation for more than three decades. Their contributions now exceed $3 million, making them one of the Foundation’s most significant and enduring community partners.

Guided by its agricultural roots and a longstanding commitment to community stewardship, the Delta Agricultural Society has supported healthcare, environmental conservation, education, heritage preservation, and numerous initiatives that strengthen Delta’s quality of life.

The new Endoscopy Suite will be located within the former Diagnostic Services area at Delta Hospital and will provide modern procedure rooms, upgraded technology, and an improved patient experience. As demand for endoscopy services continues to grow, the expansion will help meet the healthcare needs of Delta’s aging and growing population while reducing the need for residents to travel outside the community for care.
