TB Vets Give $35,524.00 to fund state-of-the-art equipment for Surgical Services at Delta Hospital

The TB Vets Charitable Foundation generously donated $35,524.00 towards a GlideScope Core Video Laryngoscope System for the Surgical Department at Delta Hospital. The Glidescope Core is an all-in-one system needed to visualize the airway and tracheobronchial tree for intubation. This state-of-the-art equipment has a high-definition touchscreen monitor that displays high resolution images through the titanium video laryngoscopes. This critical item is used daily at Delta Hospital for intubating patients for general surgery while under anesthetic.
Delta Hospital’s Surgical Department is one of the busiest in Fraser Health, performing close to 9000 surgeries per year. Hard hit by COVID-19 our surgeons are now working through the backlog of procedures coupled with increased infection control protocol. The new glidescope will allow surgeons at Delta Hospital to provide the best patient care and surgical outcome using upgraded equipment and the latest technology.
“Thank you to TB Vets Charitable Foundation for donating state of the art equipment to our Surgical Department. This is a huge upgrade for Delta Hospital on a critical piece of equipment that we use every day in the operating room. This greatly impacts our patients and the community as it allows us to provide greater care through improved equipment. It makes a huge difference. Thank You.” – Dr. Jones, Anesthesiologist, Delta Hospital
