Meet Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation's Board of Directors: PHIL POSEHN

Our Board of Directors are community leaders, dedicated and passionate about our mission to fund and promote outstanding healthcare at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care and in our community. Our Board members volunteer their time to assist Foundation staff to raise the funds needed to support the most critical healthcare needs and they greatly contribute to our success. Follow along as we feature these important members of our team.

 

 

Phil has been serving on Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s Board of Directors for 10 years as of this September. Over the years, he has been an integral part of the Board’s Finance Committee. His extensive knowledge and expertise has been so appreciated during a period of the Foundation’s history that has seen exponential revenue growth. Phil was also a valued member of our Century Group Delta Health Classic Golf Committee which is one of the Foundation’s most popular signature events.

 

Phil Posehn Bio:

Phil Posehn is an experienced financial professional with a wide breadth of experience in a wide variety of diverse businesses, having worked in both public practice and industry over his forty-year career.

 

Growing up in British Columbia, Phil attended the University of British Columbia through the Certified General Accountants program. He graduated from the program earning his CGA designation in 1985.

Phil spent the first twenty years of his professional accounting career working in public practice gaining a wide variety of experience in accounting, taxation and audit working with a diverse mix of small to medium sized businesses. Over the last half of his career, Phil worked in the Real Estate sector as Controller and then VP of Finance for a mid size Real Estate Development Company.

After forty years of working in the financial sector Phil retired in 2020 to scale back his day-to-day work schedule and pursue some other interests and opportunities and continue his volunteer work which has included work on the Board of the Delta Chamber of Commerce and the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation.

Phil has lived in Delta for over twenty years with his wife Maria and keeps active playing hockey, tennis and golf and enjoys spending summers away boating.
