Why the Beedie Long-Term Care Centre matters now more than ever >>
On July 9, Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation welcomed donors, community leaders, and supporters to its annual Picnic in the Barn at Harris Barn. The special appreciation event celebrated the generosity of Founders Club members – donors who given consecutively for 10 years or more and Legacy Donors – donors who have informed the Foundation they will be leaving a charitable gift in their Will – helping to advance healthcare across the Delta Hospital Campus of Care.
Guests received updates on several transformative healthcare initiatives, including the future Beedie Long-Term Care Centre, the exciting on MRI services coming to Delta Hospital for the first time, and progress on the Foundation’s Endoscopy Campaign, which will fund a new purpose-built endoscopy unit scheduled for completion in 2027.
Foundation CEO Lisa Hoglund also highlighted the impact of donor-supported advocacy efforts, including physician recruitment initiatives that strengthen emergency care and support for the South Delta After Hours Urgent and Primary Care Centre.
The event concluded with special recognition of Founders Club members whose loyal contributions have helped the Foundation raise more than $100 million since 1988 in support of patient care, medical equipment, capital projects, and community health services.
