The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) has made a generous commitment of $100,000 towards Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s (DHCH Foundation) $18.25 million ‘Coming Home’ Campaign supporting the new Beedie Long-Term Care Centre. This transformative project will replace Mountain View Manor and include 200-beds, a 32-space Day Program for Older Adults, and a stand-alone 49-space child daycare facility.
As part of this five-year pledge, AMYA’s 2024 Run for Delta event raised $20,000 to support the new Beedie Long-Term Care Centre. The proceeds from this annual event will continue to contribute to the ‘Coming Home’ campaign, helping to ensure high-quality long-term care for residents in Delta. AMYA has supported DHCH Foundation since 2017 and through their annual fundraiser, they have donated $131,000 cumulatively.
“AMYA’s continued support is invaluable to our Foundation and to the future Beedie Long-Term Care Centre,” says Lisa Hoglund, CEO of Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. “We are truly appreciative of their commitment to Delta Hospital and the residents of our community.”
Building on this momentum, AMYA invites the community to take part in this year’s Run for Delta, taking place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the North Delta Track. The event will support both Delta Hospital & Community Health Foundation and the Surrey Food Bank, bringing the community together to strengthen healthcare and fight food insecurity.
