The Boates Family Foundation donates $1M to Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s ‘Coming Home’ Campaign in support of new child daycare facility

The Boates Family Foundation has made a remarkable $1 million donation to Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s (DHCH Foundation) $18.25 million ‘Coming Home’ Campaign for the new Beedie Long Term Care Centre to replace Mountain View Manor. The project includes a 200-bed Long Term Care Centre, a 32-space Day Program for Older Adults and a stand-alone 49-space child daycare facility.

The Boates family personally and corporately, via Unitech Construction Management Ltd., have been supporting Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation for over 20 years. The Boates, through the Boates Family Foundation, strive to foster community growth to inspire change. This incredible donation will support the new child daycare facility to be constructed on the Delta Hospital Campus of Care. This innovative stand-alone facility will feature multiple outdoor play spaces and create opportunities for intergenerational programming with long-term care residents.

“We are very proud to be supporting the child daycare facility,” says Rick Boates, on behalf of The Boates Family Foundation. “Once completed, this new space will provide support to families in Delta and the dedicated hospital staff that care for our loved ones.”

“We are humbled by the generosity of the Boates Family,” says Lisa Hoglund, Executive Director of Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. “Their dedication to supporting Delta Hospital Campus of Care and the community of Delta is inspiring. This level of support will pave the way for a new service on our campus benefiting local families and hospital staff as well as fostering social connections to benefit seniors and children alike.”
