To our wonderful community,

As 2024 draws to a close, the Staff and Board of Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible community. Your generous support and commitment to healthcare have been instrumental in strengthening health services for everyone.

DHCH Foundation is committed to supporting the staff and patients of Delta Hospital, Mountain View Manor, and Irene Thomas Hospice by funding the most critical needs.

This past year, because of donor support likes yours, the Foundation was able to commit $2.4M for critically needed medical equipment for the campus including a new 3D Mammography system, pressure mapping system, ventilator, and pharmacy refrigerator. We also supported educational initiatives to assist our staff and community.

In addition, we are nearing our $18.25 million commitment to the ‘Coming Home’ campaign for the new Beedie Long Term Care Centre and are close to making this project a reality. Construction is set to begin in 2025, transforming our campus with an additional 108 beds, bringing the total to 200 long-term care beds. The new day program for older adults will serve 32 people daily, providing essential programs and resources to help them live at home longer while giving their caregivers much-needed respite. This project will significantly alleviate some of the pressures on our healthcare system.

In our 36-year history, we have never been more inspired to think beyond “what if” and instead embrace “why not?” This year, we completed a new Strategic Planning process aimed at accelerating access to outstanding healthcare and enhancing in-community health services through a soon to be launched, community granting opportunity to support other healthcare organizations and initiatives in the community. We reaffirm our dedication to and alignment with our valued partners to enhance top-tier healthcare for Delta.
