On March 5, more than 140 community leaders, philanthropists, and champions of women’s empowerment gathered at the Harris Barn for the 2nd Annual Power of Women in Philanthropy, presented by Century Group and hosted by the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. Together, we celebrated the extraordinary influence women have on healthcare, philanthropy, and the well-being of our community.
This year’s program focused on resilience — the strength that fuels personal growth, leadership, and excellence. Emcee Simone Grewal guided the afternoon with warmth and authenticity, setting the tone for an inspiring program. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Ramneek Dosanjh, delivered a compelling and deeply personal exploration of overcoming adversity and leading with purpose. We were also honoured to hear from three-time Olympian Darcy Hortness, who shared her powerful journey of dedication, perseverance, and mental strength — a highlight that left the room energized and uplifted.
We were proud to present the 2026 Leadership in Philanthropy Award to Cindy Beedie in recognition of her exemplary commitment to advancing healthcare in Delta. Her leadership continues to inspire positive change throughout our community.
