Rick Boates

Our Board of Directors are community leaders, dedicated and passionate about our mission to fund and promote outstanding healthcare at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care and in our community. Our Board members volunteer their time to assist Foundation staff to raise the funds needed to support the most critical healthcare needs and they greatly contribute to our success. Follow along as we feature these important members of our team.

This month, we are profiling our board member, Rick Boates. Rick joined our Board of Directors in 2020. His career in the construction industry spans 50+ years including 14 years in design consulting, two years as a Building Inspector and 34 years as Founder and President of Unitech Construction Management Ltd. which has built numerous major health care projects for numerous clients throughout BC. Rick has been a member of The Alternative Board (TAB) for 22 years, was a Director of Merit Canada for 8 years and was also a Director of the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA) for 8 years including 2 years as Board Chair and 2 years as Past Chair. Rick and family made Delta their home in 1990 and have been strong supporters of Delta Hospital & Community Health Foundation, both corporately and personally, for many years.
