“For Cindy and I, helping communities here in Canada and around the world has always been a part of our lives. We truly believe that giving back and sharing our success with others is a key part of being thoughtful and caring world citizens. We’ve partnered with Delta Hospital and Community Foundation on this critical Long Term Care project to help support local seniors who really made this area what it has become today. We’ve had the pleasure of building in Delta for over 50 years, and our family is proud to be able to give back to a community that’s so important to us,” says Ryan Beedie, President of Beedie.

“The Auxiliary is thrilled to support such a meaningful campaign to build a new care community for Delta’s seniors,” says Cathy Bayley, President, Delta Hospital Auxiliary Society. “This is our largest donation to date, and we are truly grateful for the dedication and entrepreneurial commitment of our volunteers that made this gift possible.”

“I grew up on a farm in Delta, having left to attend UBC in 1959, I now live in Vancouver, but my roots are still in Delta. It is now time to give something back to the community that raised me,” says, David Harris. “I am making this gift in honour of my mother, Pauline Harris. She spent her last years in Mountain View Manor, where she received excellent care. Looking after our seniors, as they start needing permanent care, should be a priority for all of us. The government can not do it all. Those of us that have been fortunate enough to have accumulated some assets over their lifetime, need to think about giving back to the community that raised us.”

“As Delta residents we feel very passionate about giving back to our community that we care so deeply about,” says Gordie and Wendy Christoff. “The seniors in Delta have helped create the wonderful community that we have the privilege of living in today. As such, it is essential to ensure they have access to the very best health care possible; services that provide them with the support and dignity they deserve at this stage of their lives.”

“We have lived and done business in this community for 45 years. Giving back to our hospital seems like the right thing to do. Having the best equipment and services nearby is very reassuring to our family. Delta Hospital has provided care to us several times over the years, and we want to ensure that the medical staff have what they need to help our neighbours, family and friends well into the future,” stated Bob Binkley.

“We are very proud to be supporting the child daycare facility,” says Rick Boates, on behalf of The Boates Family Foundation. “Once completed, this new space will provide support to families in Delta and the dedicated hospital staff that care for our loved ones.”
