Coming Home: A Campaign to Transform Long Term Care in Delta
Home. It’s a word that evokes feelings of comfort, joy, safety, and security. It’s a place that welcomes you and your loved ones, the backdrop for creating memories, a place where you can be your authentic self.
For some, ‘home’ takes on a new meaning in one’s senior years. As the daily tasks of life become unmanageable and physical and cognitive health declines, remaining in one’s own home is no longer safe. Despite the best efforts of families supporting their loved ones to remain at home as long as possible, often a move into long-term care becomes the best solution.
Delta’s seniors are the very heart of our community. They are the builders, the nurturers, the founders, the community champions. Their hard work and generous spirit have made Delta what it is today. They are our mothers and fathers, our aunts, uncles and grandparents, the neighbours who we think of as family.
It’s time to build the kind of home they deserve. A home that honours every story, a home that we can all be proud of.
That’s why Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation is partnering with Fraser Health to deliver a brand new, state-of-the-art, long-term care community for our loved ones. This will be a place for purposeful living, a place for new stories. A place that truly feels like coming home.

Delta’s seniors have given so much to all of us. Now, we all have a role to play in helping our seniors come home to a place they deserve. Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation has committed to our most significant campaign to date - to bring our new long-term care community to life. This crucial project will be Delta Hospital’s largest infrastructure investment since 1980.
Together, we can build a home for Delta seniors that is a place for purposeful living and meaningful connection, where new memories will be made. Coming Home is our opportunity to show our seniors and their families our gratitude and our compassion.
