A gift of Retirement Funds

A gift of a registered retirement fund such as an RRSP or RRIF is one way you can leave a lasting legacy to the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation.

When you designate the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation as a beneficiary of your RRSP or RRIF your estate is eligible for a charitable tax receipt for the amount that has been gifted to the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. By designating the Delta Hospital Foundation as beneficiary your gift passes directly to charity and will not be subject to probate taxes or possible creditor claims against your estate.

If you would like to include or change the beneficiary of your RRSP or RRIF to the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation simply call your financial advisor or financial institution and let them know you would like to change the beneficiary designation. They will be able to help you with the appropriate forms.

We always encourage you to discuss a future gift with your loved ones and ensure your own financial needs are met. It is also important to seek financial advice when considering a gift of retirement funds.
